Job Description: Teaching Assistant (SEN)
Location: Oldbury
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm
Duration: Long term, on-going
Salary: £75-£90
Are you passionate about working with children through Key stage 1? Do you enjoy providing a stimulating environment to enable pupils to access all aspects of the school day?
The ideal Teaching Assistant will be working with a key stage 1 Child, that has a wide range of needs including down syndrome and moderate learning difficulties. He will require support outside and in the classroom environment. Therefore, experience working with these needs is imperative. Having any additional qualifications, such as, PECS, Team teach, or Makaton would be ideal but not necessary. The candidate will need to have experience working with KS1 children either within Mainstream or within a SEN based setting.

Requirements:
- Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
- Level 2/3 Childcare or Relevant qualifications
- Level 1 Autism -Preferred
- Perform Personal Care
- Autism and moderate learning difficulties experience
- Level 1 safeguarding certificate
- Recent school-based references
- Valid Photo ID – Driving License or passport
- Full DBS – on the update service
