Level 3 Teaching Assistant

 

Location: Penkridge

Duration: Full time, on-going

Salary: £73-90 per day

 

The School/role:

We are working with an Ofsted rated “Good” school local to Penkridge who are currently looking for a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant to take on a long-term, full-time position. As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for challenging children who are working above age-related expectations within the class, and to provide support for children with a range of educational needs. In this role you will be working with children from a range of backgrounds and educational levels, so any additional CPD completed to support this would be ideal, in addition to a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

We are looking for a dedicated and creative Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support students in class and in 1:1 interventions. This role will include supporting teachers with material preparation for lessons, assisting with eye-catching displays and providing direct 1:1 or small group student support.  The ideal candidate for this role will have experience supporting students either 1:1 or within small groups with their reading, writing or maths dependent upon situation.

 

The candidate for this role will be comfortable supporting SEN children alongside children with a range of different academic attainment levels. This will require patience, commitment and the ability to provide a safe and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate for this role would have experience or qualifications working with SEN children, this is preferable but not required. This Level 3 Teaching Assistant role will also include working with range of students with a different educational needs such as, dyslexia, dyscalculia, ASD and ADHD.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant background
  • Level 3 assisting education and learning qualification or equivalent
  • Immediately available
  • Level 1, or higher, safeguarding certificate
  • Relevant school-based references
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
  • Enhanced DBS – on the update service
