SEN Teaching Assistant

 

Location: Solihull

Duration: Full time, on going

Salary: £85 – £95 per day

 

The School/role:

We are currently looking for an experienced SEN teaching assistant who can take on a full-time on-going job role in a fantastic SEN school in Solihull. The school strives to provide the best quality teaching and learning with an inclusive and personalised curriculum. This is a full-time SEN teaching assistant post and will run until the end of the academic year. This fantastic school is a Specialist Provision school for students with additional needs from ages 4-19, all students have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP).

The candidate for this SEN teaching assistant role will be experienced supporting SEN children alongside children with a range of different academic attainment levels. Students and staff are at the heart of the school, and they’re hoping to find dedicated staff who provide a personalised approach to each individual pupils’ needs, encouraging them to become lifelong learners and valued members of their communities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
  • PECS and Makaton training/experience
  • SLD, MLD, ASD and Complex needs experience
  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate
  • Recent school based references
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
  • Full DBS – on the update service
