SEN Teaching Assistant


Location: Wolverhampton

Duration: Full time, ongoing temporary role

Salary: £60 – 70 per day dependant on experience


The School/role:

We are recruiting for a SEN school within the Wolverhampton area who are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with them on a full-time. You will be supporting Special needs children at all secondary level.

The school is a secondary setting for ASD, Non-verbal, Complex and PMLD needs and need someone who has experience in these areas of special needs.

You will be working 1:1 with a student but may also interact with small groups of learners, so will need to be adaptable to ensure correct support is given. You must have prior experience working with Non-verbal, ASD students and have a natural ability within the classroom.

Strong, effective support is crucial to this role to ensure the pupils’ development is the key focus, and that their needs are managed in a positive way.

This is an ongoing full time post.

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant or Relevant SEN Experience
  • SEN school-based experience
  • ASD, Non-verbal, Complex and PMLD needs experience
  • Available Immediately
  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate
  • Recent school-based references
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
  • Full DBS – registered on the update service
