SEN Teaching Assistant

 

Location: Wolverhampton

Duration: Full time, ongoing temporary role

Salary: £60 – 70 per day

 

The School/role:

We are recruiting for a SEN school within Wolverhampton that are seeking an experienced TA to work with them on a full-time basis. The school are looking for someone with experience working with ASD, SEMH and complex needs at secondary level.

This is a special needs school that cater for secondary children with ASD, complex, SEMH and behavioural needs. You will be supporting the students in their learning and development in order to provide them the highest level of assistance. These students can have behavioural issues and so require someone who is strong and able to deal with these outbursts if they arise.

The ideal candidate will have classroom-based SEN experience, in order to develop their learning and assist in their lessons. You will be supporting individuals with Autism, Mental Health, Behavioural and complex needs.

You will be working on a full-time basis, and the role is likely to run ongoing.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
  • SEN school-based or PRU Experience
  • ASD, ASC, SEMH, SEBD, Complex needs experience
  • Available Immediately
  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate
  • Recent school-based references
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
  • Full DBS – registered on the update service
