SEN Teaching Assistant


Location: Walsall

Duration: ASAP, full time ongoing temporary post

Salary: £60 – 70 per day


The School/role:

We are recruiting for a SEN school in the Walsall area that are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with them on a full-time basis. This is a role for an experienced SEN TA who has previously worked with PMLD, Complex and ASD needs.

We are working with a school in the Walsall area that are seeking a TA to work with them on a full-time basis within special needs. You will be supporting KS3 children who have a range of complex, physical and PMLD needs. You will be supporting them in their learning and development and ensuring they have a full, enriching experience at school. You must be happy to provide personal care to them which will involve feeding, changing or toileting.

This is a long term; full time post working at the school and would ideally start immediately.

You must have school-based experience with SLD, PMLD, ASC and complex needs.

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
  • SEN school-based Experience
  • SLD, MLD, PMLD, ASD, Complex needs experience
  • Child and Adult Workforce DBS
  • Available Immediately
  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate
  • Recent school-based references
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
  • Full DBS – registered on the update service
