SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: South Birmingham
Duration: Full time, long term contract
Salary: £65 – 70 per day
We are currently recruiting for a SEN teaching assistant to work full-time in a school located in Stechford. You will need experience working with a range of special needs, including, SEBD, SEMH, ADHD and ASD.
You will need to feel competent and confident in working on both a 1-1 basis and working with larger groups of children. Experience teaching in all key stages would be ideal as this school has a broad range of age groups from KS1-KS4.
The position will be full-time with the hope that the teaching assistant stays on in a permanent position if the candidate is the right fit for the school.
Team Teach qualification will be essential for this role as restraint procedures may be required.

- Qualified Teaching Assistant, SEN experience or PRU experience
- SEMH, SEBD, ADHD, ASD Experience
- Team Teach Qualification
- Level 1 safeguarding certificate
- Recent school based references
- Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
- Full DBS – on the update service
