SEN Teaching Assistant
Duration: Full-time, long term contract
We are looking for a SEN specialist to work as teaching assistant within a fantastic primary school located in Solihull. The school require an experienced SEN teaching assistant to take on a full-time ongoing position to work with small groups on KS3 and KS5 special educational needs children.
The candidate will need to be able to work on a 1-1 basis to support specific severe special needs individual children. The teacher assistant will need to also share similar values to this school to make sure every child reaches their true potential.
The candidate will need experience working with children with SEMH and SEBD needs therefore Team Teach restraint training will be a requirement as the teacher assistant may need to use and utilise restraint training when required.
This position is a great opportunity for a teaching assistant to take on a new exciting role in a very supportive primary school. You will be working on a full-time basis as soon as possible with the view to go permanent in the same position.

- Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
- SEN school based experience within KS1 and KS2
- SEBD and SEMH experience
- Level 1 safeguarding certificate
- Recent school based references
- Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
- Full DBS – on the update service
