SEN TA 1-2-1
Duration: Full time, long term contract
We are working on behalf of an SEN school based within Birmingham who are pursuing a strong TA to work with them on a full time basis in September. This role can be very challenging as the students have very strong behavioural needs. The candidate will definitely need experience working alongside children with SEBD and SEMH needs.
You will be supporting KS3 – KS5 challenging behaviour students, therefore sound knowledge of a range of subjects is vital in order to support students to the highest level. Experience using behavioural management techniques is key and to be confident in utilising these techniques within an SEN setting. Team Teach training or equivalent will be required as restraint exercises will be required at this setting.
You will be working on a full time basis as soon as possible with the view to go permanent in the same position.

- Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
- SEN school based Experience
- SEBD/SEMH/PRU Experience
- Level 1 safeguarding certificate
- Recent school based references
- Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
- Full DBS – on the update service
