A SEN school based in Birmingham are currently looking for a full-time SEN teaching assistant to work with KS1 and KS2 pupils.
The candidate needs to have experience and be confident working with children with severe learning difficulties needs (MLD, ASD, SEMH and Complex needs). The teaching assistant needs to be able to adapt to new situations that present themselves as the children within the school can be unpredictable.
The school aims to provide a secure environment where all the children’s individual needs are recognised and catered for. You will be working with a range of needs, including, MLD, ASD, SEMH and Complex needs.
This is a full-time post and will run until the end of the academic year.

- Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
- SEN school based Experience
- PECS training/experience
- MLD, ASD, SEMH and Complex needs experience
- Available fulltime
- Level 1 safeguarding certificate
- Recent school based references
- Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
- Full DBS – on the update service
