SEN Teacher PMLD, SLD

 

Location: Wolverhampton

Duration: Full time, ongoing temporary role

Salary: £120 – 160 per day dependant on experience

 

The School/role:

We are recruiting for a SEN school in Wolverhampton who are seeking a Teacher to start in January on a full-time basis. This is a special needs school who support PMLD, SLD and ASC pupils.

This is a role for an experienced SEN Teacher who has worked with PMLD, SLD, ASC needs previously at either primary or secondary level.

You will be teaching a small group of learners, implementing use of Makaton and PECs to support each child effectively. The classrooms are broken up into individual support from the TA’s, who have strong knowledge of the children’s needs. You must be comfortable and have a proven background working with profound learning and physical needs and have the right character to support them in a nurturing manner. The successful candidate must have ability working with PMLD, SLD, MLD and ASD needs.

This is a full-time role, starting January and you will be required to plan, prepare and deliver a concise curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status – QTS
  • SEN school-based experience
  • PMLD, SLD, MLD, ASD, ASC needs experience
  • Makaton, PECs experience
  • Available Immediately
  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate
  • Recent school-based references
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
  • Full DBS – registered on the update service
