Duration: Full time, long term contract

Salary: £60-70 per day


The School/role:

We are currently looking for a strong experienced SEN teaching assistant to work full-time in a school located in Birmingham. The school is very supportive and will help you throughout your stay at the school. The team’s ethos is very positive and enthusiastic towards teaching and learning. Therefore, sharing this approach is very important.

You will need experience working with a range of special needs, including, SEMH, SEBD, ADHD and ADD. You will not only be working on a 1-1 basis, you will also be required to work with larger groups of children. Experience teaching in all key stages would be ideal as this school has a diverse group of ages. The position will be full-time with the hope that the teacher stays on in a permanent position. Any additional SEN qualifications, such as, Team Teach, PECS or Makaton would be ideal.

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant
  • SEMH, SEBD, ADHD, ADD Experience
  • Experience in an SEN School or Pupil Referral Unit
  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate
  • Recent school based references
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
  • Full DBS – on the update service
