SEN MALE Teaching Assistant

 

Location: Leamore

Duration: Full time, on going

Salary: £60-70 per day

 

Requirements:

  • SEND school-based Experience
  • Qualified teaching assistant OR SEND experience
  • Must have in-date Team Teach qualification
  • Due to the needs of the students, must be a male
  • SEMH, SEBD, Autism, challenging behaviour and complex needs experience
  • Available Immediately
  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate
  • Recent school-based references
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
  • Full DBS – registered on the update service

 

The School/role:

We have an exclusive, brand new, challenging but rewarding role available for an SEN teaching assistant who is a male with an in-date Team Teach to work full time.

 

Due to the severity of the needs of the students you need to be a male, have a strong character and be resilient. You will be working with children aged 3-19 years old with SEMH, SEBD, Autism, Challenging Behaviour and complex needs.

 

In this role you will be working with PRU students, so it is expected that you will be around some mild to severe violence and will need to use your Team Teach, not just for verbal conflict resolution but physical restraint also.

 

You will need to have experience working as an SEN Teaching assistant in a similar environment to that as about.

 

The role will run on a full-time basis ongoing. Please apply immediately to be considered for this position.

A new enhanced DBS will be needed for this role or a subscription to the DBS update service.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable providing personal care, experience ideal
  • ASD, MLD, SLD, PMLD needs experience
  • Available Immediately
  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate
  • Recent school-based references
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
  • Full DBS – registered on the update service
