Balfor Recruitment is seeking experienced Pupil guides to work within Birmingham.

You will be required to ensure that children with special needs are accompanied and escorted to and from school safely.

The needs of the children will cover a range of medical and behaviour conditions and as a pupil guide you will be responsible for their care, safety and wellbeing during the journey. You will play a key role as you will be the individual who will liaise between parents, school and the Travel Assist team.

We are looking for individuals who are caring patient, punctual and reliable and can work flexibly.

Working Hours: 7 am – 9.30am and 2.30pm – 5pm

This is a casual role covering absences, sickness or covering new routes at short notice. If you are looking for a flexible exciting opportunity this will be the role for you!


  • Experience working or caring for children with special needs.
  • Previous experience as a pupil guide (Preferred).
  • Excellent communication.
  • Basic First aid Training.
  • Team Teach Training (Preferred).
  • Safeguarding Training.
  • Harness Training (Desired).
  • BSL Training (Desired).
  • Autism Training (Desired.
