Teaching Assistant

Duration: Full time, on-going
Salary: £73-85 per day
The School/role:
We are currently looking for a qualified teaching assistant who can take on a full-time, on-going job in a fantastic school located in Walsall. This role will include working within a class, as well as, supporting interventions and EHCP’s of children in the year group. In this job you will be scaffolding the learning of a variety of different students with a range of different educational support needs.

To be the ideal candidate for this role, the school are looking for someone with prior experience, adaptability and a passion for supporting the inclusion of all pupils in the setting. This particular role will include supporting teachers with material preparation for lessons, assisting with displays, and providing direct 1-1, whole class and small group student support. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience supporting students either 1 on 1 or within small groups with their reading, writing, phonics and maths dependent upon the needs of the cohort.
The candidate for this role will be passionate supporting SEN children alongside children with a range of different academic attainment levels. This will require patience, commitment and the ability to provide a safe and welcoming environment. Experience or qualifications working with SEN children is preferable but not required.
The team within the school are very supportive and will help you along the way. The staff in the school aim to give the best possible educational experience for their students. This job opportunity is very rewarding for people who have teaching assistant experience.

Requirements:
- Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant background
- Level 2 or 3 assisting education and learning qualification or equivalent
- Immediately available
- Level 1 safeguarding certificate
- Relevant school based references
- Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
- Enhanced DBS – on the update service
