SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Wolverhampton

Duration: Full time, ASAP

Salary: £60-75 per day

We are currently recruiting for a fantastic SEN school in Wolverhampton that is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with them on a full-time basis starting ASAP.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant in Wolverhampton to work with them. This will be working in a primary-secondary school setting starting ASAP on a full-time basis. The school wants a Teaching Assistant who has strong knowledge and experience of SEN needs when working with students at a primary-secondary level.

The day to day responsibility of the teaching assistant is to work with a student 1:1 with a range of different needs which include ASD, SLD and complex needs. You will be providing support to the student who can have behavioural, communication and mental health difficulties. The focus of the teaching assistant is to support the student effectively, manage and develop their behaviour in a positive manner.

The TA should be able to provide the pupil with the ability to grow in confidence and form positive relationships with the people in the community. This is a great school to work with and will be a worthwhile role for the successful applicant.

Please note: A new enhanced DBS will be needed for this role or a subscription to the DBS update service.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
  • SEND school-based Experience
  • SEMH, SEBD and ADHD experience
  • Team teach or PRICE training required with a valid certificate
  • Child and Adult Workforce DBS
  • Available Immediately
  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate
  • Recent school-based references
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving License or passport
  • Full DBS – registered on the update service
