Role description:

We are recruiting for a college in Birmingham that is seeking an experienced and passionate Learning Support Assistant to work with them on a full-time basis ASAP.

We are working with a college in Birmingham that is looking for a TA to work alongside them. This will be working with 19-25 year old adults with moderate and severe learning difficulties and behaviours. The college is looking for strong candidates with knowledge and solid experience when dealing with SLD, MLD and SEBD.

You will be providing support to students who will need assistance with their communication, behaviour and learning. The learning support assistant will focus on effectively manage and develop the students attitude positively, promote their self-esteem and help all students reach their full potential. This is a great college to work with as it is a worthwhile role for the successful candidate.

Please note: A new enhanced Adult Workforce DBS will be needed for this role or a subscription to the DBS service.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
  • SEND school/college-based experience
  • MLD, SLD and SEBD: needs experience
  • Willing to do personal care
  • Team Teach would be desirable
  • Child and Adult Workforce DBS
  • Available Immediately
  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate
  • Recent school-based references
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving License or passport
  • Full DBS – registered on the update service
