Job title: Learning Disabilities Support Worker

Location: Birmingham

Rate of pay: £9.90 – £10.20 + sleep in

Hours: full time 37.5 per week

Balfor recruitment are currently working with an established provider of supported living services that supports vulnerable adults with learning disabilities and mental health.

Due to the growth of our clients’ services, they are now looking to recruit support workers to work full time to work in their new learning disabilities adults supported living service in BIRMINGHAM!

This position is a fulltime permanent role. You will be required to work 37.5 hours per week. The shift pattern is 3 on 4 off, or 4 on 3 off – this will include sleep in shift.

Duties and responsibilities.

  • Supporting vulnerable adults and promoting independent –
  • Personal care, bathing and washing
  • Assisting with mealtimes
  • Working as a team to promote a safe working and living environment
  • To prepare and implement individual and group support programmes.

Requirements

  • 1 years’ experience in adult’s care/support.
  • Previous experience within a Residential/ Supported living environment.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Driver
