Art Teacher

 

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Duration: September, on going

Salary: M1 – M6 pay scale, dependant on experience

 

The School/role:

We are recruiting for a SEN school in the Stoke on Trent area that are seeking an experienced Art Teacher to work with them on a full-time basis until the end of the academic year.

The school we are working with is a special needs school that are looking for a qualified Teacher who can deliver Art, and ideally who is flexible to teach other subjects. Specifically, the school look after pupils from KS1 – KS4 who have a range of learning and behavioural needs including ASD, MLD and SLD. You will be working with a range of needs, including challenging behaviour. The school have made fantastic progress and are looking for someone to continue this development within this department.

You will need to be able to deliver Art, Design Technology and some elements of GCSE photography.

This is a full time role that is from September 2019 ongoing.

A new enhanced DBS will be needed for this role or a subscription to the DBS update service.

 

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status – QTS or Equivalent
  • SEND school-based Experience
  • ASD, MLD, SLD, SEMH experience
  • Child and Adult Workforce DBS
  • Available Immediately
  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate
  • Recent school based references
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
  • Full DBS – registered on the update service
